We Inspect For:

Purpose:
In order to issue an Electrical Compliance Certificate the electrical installation of a property should be tested to determine whether it is safe and complies with the current regulations.

We Inspect:
Amongst other things, Circuit Breakers; Distribution Boards; Earth Leakage; Earth Continuity; Illegal Installations / Additions; Insulation; Lights; Loop Impedence; Plugs; Polarities; Resistance; Voltage; and Wiring Circuits.

Please Note:
All appliances e.g. ovens, stoves, geysers, pools, air conditioners, fans, gate motors, jacuzzis, items fed from a plug top or extension lead, etc are excluded from the scope of work required for the purpose of issuing an electrical compliance certificate.

Repairs:
The electrical inspection report will reflect the minimum repairs required for purpose of issuing an electrical compliance certificate.

Costs:
All electrical repairs are quoted on request, dependent on the size of the electrical installation.

ACCREDITATION FOR CONFORMITY ASSESSMENT, CALIBRATION AND GOOD LABORATORY PRACTICE ACT, 2006 (ACT 19 OF 2006)

Purpose:
In order to issue an Electrical Fence System Certificate, the electric fence system of a property should be tested to determine whether it is safe and complies with the current regulations.

We Inspect:
Brackets and Wiring
Bobbins
Energizers
Lightening Arrestors
Correct Signage

Please Note:
Individual sectional titles and similar schemes within a complex do not require an electric fence system certificate of compliance. Any new electric fence installation after 1 December 2012, must be in compliance with the said legislation with an electric fence system certificate of compliance. Any property with an electric fence installed before 1 December 2012 is now subject to this legislation upon sale and transfer.

Costs:
All electrical repairs are individually quoted for. Inspection fees are quoted on request, dependent on the size of the electrical fence installation.

Purpose:
In order to issue a gas Liquid Petroleum Gas Certificate of Conformity, the gas installation of a property should be inspected and tested to determine whether it is safe and complies with the current regulations.

We Inspect:
Amongst other things, location of gas cylinders, manifolds, regulators, safety shut-off valves, pipes, tubes and hoses, position of appliances in relation to electrical equipment, sources of ignition, illegal installations and additions. Gas leak and pressure tests are performed.

Please Note:
All fixed appliances e.g. ovens, stoves, instant water heaters, fireplaces, space heaters etc will be inspected for the purpose of issuing a gas certificate of conformity, but are excluded from the scope of remedial work required.

Repairs:
The inspection report will reflect the minimum repairs required for the purpose of issuing a gas certificate of conformity.

Costs:
Inspection fees quoted on request. All gas remedial work individually quoted for and if accepted, must be paid directly to the operator on completion of the work.

Purpose:
In order to issue a Wood Borer (Woodborer; Entomologists’; Pest Free; Infestation Free) Certificate of Clearance, all visible and accessible timbers/joinery of all structures on the property are to be inspected for the presence of wood-destroying insects (wood borer and subterranean termites).

These include:
White ants (subterranean termites); Wood borer (dry-wood termites); and Wood Rot noted/commented on if significant.

Recommended Treatments if infestation is found:
Drill/inject/ spray – SABS approved Termiticides
Fumigate – Methyl Bromide Tent Fumigation; Drill/inject/spray

Costs:
Treatments/work individually quoted for. Inspection fees are quoted on request, dependent on size of property.
